Connection stability test
Monitor latency and detect connection drops over a longer period.
About the internet stability test
This connection stability test pings our server every two seconds so you can see how steady your latency really is over 1 minute, 10 minutes or a full hour. Unlike a one-off speed test, it reveals the short drops and ping spikes that cause lag in games, freezes on video calls and buffering on streams.
Watch the uptime, packet loss and jitter values: a healthy connection keeps jitter low and loses no packets. If you see spikes, try a cable instead of Wi-Fi, move closer to the router or run the test again at a different time of day.
Stability test FAQ
How long should I run the stability test?
Start with the 1-minute test for a quick check. Use the 10-minute or 1-hour test to catch intermittent drops that only appear during longer sessions, such as evening peak hours.
What is a good jitter value?
Jitter below 25 ms is good and keeps games and calls smooth. Values above that mean your latency is fluctuating and you may notice lag or choppy audio.
Why does my connection drop packets?
Packet loss is usually caused by weak Wi-Fi, an overloaded router or a problem on your provider's side. Testing over a cable helps you tell local Wi-Fi issues apart from ISP problems.
